What is xine?
xine is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, and VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet. It interprets many of the most common multimedia formats available – and some of the most uncommon formats, too.

Going live… -
We've gone live with the new site! It's still a little bit unfinished, but most things are in place and working well.
A few things are different. This is a reimplementation of the site, done using XML and in a static form, rather than in PHP: no regeneration each time a page is served, so it's more cache-friendly; and fewer electrons are used. Remember, every electron saved…
There'll probably be some changes to the site over the coming months, in terms of style and possibly also layout. No promises, though :-)
